More than 1,300 Emiratis were granted housing loans by the Abu Dhabi government on Friday.
The first housing package of 2022, which coincides with Eid Al Fitr celebrations, will see 1,347 Abu Dhabi citizens receive housing loans worth a total of 2.36 billion dirhams.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, ordered the payment of the loans as directed by President Sheikh Khalifa.

The housing package is part of the UAE leadership’s continued commitment to further enhance the contribution of citizens to the advancement of society by maintaining a high standard of living as part of tightly knit and connected communities, said Abu Dhabi Media Office.
“This housing package reflects our leaders’ commitment to ensuring the well-being of our citizens and prioritizing the strength and stability of families,” said Falah Al Ahbabi, chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Municipalities. Dr Mohammad Rashid Ahmad Al Hameli, Chief Executive of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, added: “Immediately after the leaders issued the guidelines, we are contacting beneficiaries to expedite the process so they can claim their housing allowances.
“This is part of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority’s strategy to provide efficient and high quality services to the citizens of the UAE and make their journey smooth and effortless.”
In November, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, vice president and ruler of Dubai, outlined plans to improve living conditions for Emiratis.
The Dh3.8 billion program included the distribution of 2,000 residential plots, 900 villas and a Dh500 million complex for small families
