Another set of business support is made available through the Welsh Government’s Economic Resilience Fund.
It offers cash grants of between £ 2,500 and £ 10,000 to help eligible businesses, social enterprises, charities and supply chain businesses cover their running costs, excluding staff salaries, until the end of June.
Powys County Council will administer the grants to businesses with a turnover of less than £ 85,000, and those with a turnover of over £ 85,000 will receive their grant from the Welsh government.
With restrictions now relaxed, the criteria are more focused than before and eligible businesses will need to apply online.
Businesses are expected to show reduced revenue of 60% or more for the months of May and June compared to May and June 2019, as a direct result of current Covid restrictions.
Those who may be eligible include those who are forced to close, cannot open indoors, those who deal exclusively with weddings and events, or supply chain businesses for these categories.
Councilor Aled Davies, deputy leader and cabinet member responsible for finance, said: ‘It’s great to see our county reopen after many months of foreclosure, but some businesses are still affected by the remaining restrictions. .
We hope that this latest grant will be a boost for these companies and support them until July. “
